Some more playing with Windows Blue Build 9364...
In my previous post about the multimonitor support for apps and the launcher in Windows Blue Build 9364, I was under the impression, that on Windows Blue, the launcher is always located on monitor 1. Oh boy, I was so wrong!
When running Windows Blue within a multimonitor setup, after login, the launcher will always start on the monitor that is the "main display", while a dull solid background color is being shown on the other monitors. Moving the launcher to another monitor, which is accomplished using the Windows-Key-Page-Up/Down key combo on Windows 8, is now just a mouse click away on Windows Blue. Yes, all you have to do is click with the primary mouse button into the dull solid background area on a secondary monitor and the launcher will move to that particular monitor - it couldn't be easier. Note however, that this cannot be accomplished anymore once you have switched to the classic desktop. The dull solid background color area will just not reappear then. So I am a bit baffled as to why the Windows-Key-Page-Up/Down key combo is not supported anymore for the launcher if there is no obvious way of moving the launcher to a different monitor, once the desktop has been shown.
Note that the "main display", which is where the launcher is shown after login, is the monitor that is considered the main display in the classic desktop environment, IOW, it is the monitor where the system notification area (aka "system tray") is shown.
So for processes that need to know the monitor on which the launcher is located, nothing has changed from Windows 8 to Windows Blue, you still need undocumented stuff to do all this.
